Transportation

Transportation, how to get from here to there, has always been important for people on the Great Plains.  What started as a trail alongside the river for nomadic tribes evolved to The South Platte Trail, then railroads, named highways including the DLD (Denver Lincoln and Detroit), the Colorado Loop of the Lincoln Highway, and the Golden Rod Highway.  The named highways gave way to numbered state highways like Highway 34, which eventually gave way to I-76.

The Rainbow Bridge is an eleven arch Marsh Arch Bridge that crossed the South Platte River.

The linen car coat is one of the many fun items in the main transportation case.
